           About Rebecca

           I have been interested in photography since I was first introduced to it as a teenager. My            interest at that time was mostly in landscape and scenery. Growing up in Northern California            I was captivated by the beauty of my natural surroundings of pine trees and the South Yuba            River .My love of photography developed into more of a passion in college where I            learned to appreciate the technical aspects of light and shadow, color and composition.

           After living in Mexico, where I worked as a photographer for a freelance company, I came back            to the States and fell into other aspects of living that managed to monopolize my time and took            me away from my love of photography. Although I have never deviated from my love of nature            and the outdoors I took a break from the creative aspect of photography and concentrated on            new mediams such as art and other artistic endeavors.

           Much later I rediscovered my passion for photography and expanded my interest to digital            and Macro Photography  where I have developed the captivating contrast of graceful            images with contemporary technology. From there it was a natural transition into experimenting            with different camera lenses and lighting techniques.

            Later, and after much hesitation, I experienced the use of Photo Shop and the luxury of             manipulating the aesthetic quality of a raw photo with the digital imagery that computer             generated images offer .Although I miss the hands on work of developing my own film and the             dark room experience, I  love the creative diversity and immediacy that photo shop offers.          

            Recently I discovered the art of web design and love the artistic freedom that I can express by             intertwining the use of photography, art, nature, and technology. This experience allows me to               encompass all of my knowledge and desires and express it through my web site design.

            Through a wonderful friend I have been fortunate to experience the adventure of flying both with             a powerparaglider and free flight. I have been able to merge my love of flying with my passion             of photography and by doing so have been able to capture images that most people have             never seen. Through these experiences it is my wish to expand my photographic opportunities             and continue to bring new and exciting adventures through the eye of my camera straight to             you.
